Who We Are

Aucupence Consulting works with Chinese IT outsourcing vendors and SME delivery teams to compete internationally. Our role is to close the gap between local capabilities and global client expectations, so that technical teams can move beyond domestic limitations and win international opportunities.

We focus on three areas:

  • Bid Preparation & Consulting
We help vendors analyze RFP requirements, design pricing and delivery models, and prepare proposals that meet international standards. Our support has enabled teams to present themselves credibly and win contracts with overseas clients.
  • Agile & DevOps Training
We introduce practical Agile and DevOps practices that give teams predictable delivery rhythms, transparent reporting, and stronger collaboration. By aligning ways of working with international norms, outsourcing teams can build long-term trust with clients.
  • Career Services
We coach individual professionals on resumes, interviews, and applications for opportunities in global companies and universities. This helps talent within outsourcing teams to grow beyond local markets and build sustainable careers.

Our mission is to enable under-recognized technical teams to stand on equal footing with global competitors. Every client engagement is handled with discretion and under strict NDA.

Our Methodology

We apply structured, repeatable methods to ensure every engagement is transparent, compliant, and execution-ready.

Driver-Based Pricing & Capacity Modeling

We build models that turn project requirements into measurable drivers—team capacity, delivery velocity, compliance effort, and risk buffers. Using Excel-based parametric models and Solver optimization, we test multiple what-if scenarios, apply constraint-based scheduling, and identify cost-competitive solutions that still meet deadlines.
Our latest pilots integrate AI-assisted sensitivity analysis, allowing faster exploration of risk scenarios and better visualization of trade-offs for clients.

Structured Bid Lifecycle

From RFP breakdown and solution design to pricing, submission, and defense, we manage the full bid lifecycle. We use structured stage-gates, SLA checkpoints, and automated compliance checklists to make the process transparent, repeatable, and audit-ready.

Clear Roles & Predictable Rhythm

We introduce RACI-based role assignments and data-driven capacity formulas to balance workloads. Weekly stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives create a predictable rhythm, while simple dashboards give teams visibility into utilization and upcoming risks.

For Individuals – (3D Career Model)

For individual clients, we provide structured career consulting using our “3D Career Model.” It follows three steps:

  • Diagnose: Identify the employer’s priority demands for a given role
  • Design: Map gaps between those demands and the candidate’s profile, then build a tailored improvement plan with targeted support
  • Deploy: Conduct mock interviews and rewrite CVs aligned to global standards

Our Case For Winning And Delivering International Contracts

TRANSFORMING A LOCAL OUTSOURCING TEAM FOR GLOBAL DELIVERY

Before

A Chengdu-based software outsourcing company (50+ engineers, Java/React stack) aimed to win their first EU SaaS contract. They had solid technical skills but lacked experience in international bidding, compliance, and client-facing delivery systems.

What We Did

  • Proposal Construction: Designed a microservice-based architecture, React front-end layering, Redis session management, and AWS deployment strategy. Built sprint-based Gantt charts, QA milestones, and risk matrices to meet EU compliance.
  • PM & Architect Coaching: Trained leaders to articulate scope, cadence, and architectural rationale, supported with diagrams and audit trails.
  • Delivery System Setup: Implemented Git branching strategy, CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions + Docker, and QA documentation standards.
  • Portfolio & Interview Prep: Reframed the team’s GitHub/Confluence assets, added Jira boards, and conducted simulation-based Q&A sessions.
  • Shadow Support: Remained embedded under NDA, reviewing sprints, flagging risks, and adjusting delivery narratives.

Impact

  • Proposal passed compliance review on first attempt.
  • Team successfully shortlisted for EU contract evaluation.
  • PM and architect passed two rounds of European interviews.
  • Delivery maturity improved, positioning the vendor as “enterprise-ready” in client eyes.

RFP Breakdown & Proposal Construction

Challenge

The client had never participated in international bidding and needed a full proposal that met EU technical and compliance standards within a tight 16-week delivery window.

Our Work

  • Technical Proposal: Designed a microservice-based architecture with React front-end layering, Redis session management, and an AWS deployment strategy to ensure scalability and GDPR compliance.
  • Delivery Plan: Built a sprint-based Gantt chart with QA milestones, code freeze, and UAT schedule to demonstrate agile yet controlled delivery.
  • Security & Compliance: Added data encryption at rest/transit, EU cookie consent modules, and detailed access logs to satisfy audit requirements.
  • Team Structure: Defined a clear role map with coverage hours and escalation ladder, ensuring visibility and accountability.
  • Cost & Risk: Developed a transparent modular cost breakdown and a six-point risk matrix linked to contingency planning.

Result

The proposal package passed compliance review on the first attempt and was shortlisted for final evaluation.

PM & Architect Readiness Training

Challenge

The client’s PM and technical lead had no prior experience in international client-facing interviews. They struggled to explain delivery frameworks, handle time zone communication, and present architecture decisions with clarity.

Our Work

  • PM Coaching:
    • Trained PMs to articulate scope control, sprint cadence, and change request handling.
    • Structured update formats (“What happened → What we’re doing → What’s next”).
    • Established time zone and communication protocols (Slack/Zoom rhythm).

  • Architect Coaching:
    • Guided architects on how to explain technical stack rationale, scaling path, and fallback mechanisms.
    • Introduced diagrams and flowcharts (Draw.io) to visualize fault isolation and recovery logic.
    • Strengthened security narratives: authentication flows, data segregation, audit trails.

Result

The PM and architect successfully passed two rounds of European client interviews, demonstrating both technical capability and delivery maturity.

Code-Level Delivery System Setup

Team Framing & Portfolio Packaging

Challenge

The outsourcing team lacked credibility in structured delivery practices. Without version control standards, CI/CD pipelines, or QA processes, they risked losing client trust.

Our Work

  • Version Control:
    • Implemented Git branching strategy (main → staging → feature) with pull request enforcement.
    • Introduced commit standards and protected branches.
  • CI/CD Pipeline:
    • Configured GitHub Actions with Docker builds.
    • Enabled auto-deployment to AWS staging upon PR merge.
    • Added manual approval gates for production releases.
  • Documentation & QA:
    • Required each module to include README, API schema (OpenAPI), and test coverage reports (Jest + Postman).
    • Instituted weekly QA reports and UAT feedback integration.
    • Logged retrospective outcomes after each sprint.

Result

Delivery system setup positioned the team as “enterprise-ready,” increasing client confidence and reducing onboarding friction.

Team Framing & Portfolio Packaging

Ongoing Delivery Coaching & Shadow Support

Team Framing & Portfolio Packaging

Challenge

The team had no international credibility — their GitHub repos were messy, bios incomplete, and delivery history undocumented.

Our Work

  • Cleaned and restructured GitHub repositories with standardized README files and documented delivery history.
  • Created role-based bios with time zone alignment, stack tags, and English proficiency levels.
  • Packaged sample Jira boards, Confluence specs, and snapshots of prior projects into an exportable portfolio.

Result

The packaged profile presented the team as globally competent, strengthening their credibility during vendor evaluations.

Bid Interview Simulation & Q&A War Room

Ongoing Delivery Coaching & Shadow Support

Ongoing Delivery Coaching & Shadow Support

Challenge

The client team had no preparation for aggressive Q&A under pressure, risking poor performance in bid defenses.

Our Work

  • Conducted simulation-based readiness sessions with scenario-driven questions (technical, pricing, compliance).
  • Coached pushback handling for questions like “Why should we choose you?” or “How do you manage failure?”.
  • Trained structured response techniques using STAR (Situation–Task–Action–Result) framing.

Result

The team presented confidently under scrutiny, demonstrating control and delivery readiness, which elevated their standing with evaluators.

Ongoing Delivery Coaching & Shadow Support

Ongoing Delivery Coaching & Shadow Support

Ongoing Delivery Coaching & Shadow Support

Challenge

Even after bid success, SMEs often fail in execution due to weak project management and client communication.

Our Work

  • Quietly embedded behind the scenes under NDA.
  • Reviewed sprint goals and burndown charts weekly.
  • Suggested fixes for scope drift and delivery delays.
  • Prepared PMs for demo calls and status reporting.
  • Monitored early signs of client trust erosion and adjusted delivery narratives.

Result

Support remained fully white-labeled and invisible to the end client. The vendor team maintained ownership while being quietly guided to succeed in delivery.

Our Case For Career Services

About Our clients

A backend developer in his mid-30s had spent over a decade writing code in a domestic outsourcing firm — experienced, but invisible in global hiring.

He had no structured resume, couldn’t explain his systems in English, and had failed several MNC interviews.

At Aucupence, we rebuilt his technical narrative and trained him using real-world MNC workflows and our 3D model — including sprint demos, ownership framing, and system design articulation.

We have partnered with coaches from companies like Citi, AWS, and Shopee. who provide firsthand insight into global delivery standards, technical interview expectations, and current hiring criteria.

After six weeks of full-cycle coaching, he landed a backend engineering role at Citi China, with direct communication responsibility to Singapore tech leads.

He now participates in sprint planning, presents updates to global teams, and speaks with the confidence of an engineer who belongs.

From Rejection to Readiness

Before working with us, the client — a 35-year-old backend engineer — had been rejected by multiple international companies.

His problems were not technical, but structural:

  • His resume was flat and task-driven, lacking any impact or ownership signal.
  • He couldn’t articulate what systems he had built, why certain tech choices were made, or how outcomes were measured.
  • In interviews, he often said: “I just did what the team asked.”

We saw this not as a talent gap — but a translation gap.

How We Rebuilt His Narrative

We applied a systematic, coach-led approach built on real MNC delivery standards.

  • Resume Redesign: Rewrote each project using impact structure (Challenge → Decision → Action → Result). Added architecture diagrams and technical ownership descriptions.
  • Tech Expression Coaching:
    • Taught him how to explain systems visually (flowcharts, modules, data contracts)
    • Built verbal templates to answer questions like:
      • “Why did you choose Redis?”
      • “How would you scale this system?”
    • Practiced answering in full logical paths, not fragment responses
  • Live Interview Training:
    • Simulated real international tech interviews with coaches who’ve worked at AWS, Shopee, and ByteDance
    • Focused on real-time delivery: pause → structure → respond
    • Used screen-recorded mock sessions with feedback loop

All materials and training were reviewed and adjusted by team members with real-world experience in managing international delivery teams, ensuring accuracy, tone, and credibility.

Outcome: A Career Repositioned

After 6 weeks of focused training and two failed interviews, he secured a full-time remote role with a Singapore-based SaaS platform — doubling his previous salary.

Today, he leads one delivery module and presents system updates directly to cross-border stakeholders.

His interview feedback was simple:

“Now I finally know how to show what I’ve done — and why it mattered.”
